We are very sad to inform you all that, Mr. T. Sivadevan's (batch of 91/92) father passed away this afternoon at 1:30 PM (30/07/2008).

The funeral will take place on Thursday 31th July 2008 at 3PM, at 215, E, 2/1, Park Road, Colombo-5 (Narahenpita Flat, E block). Thereafter cortege leaves for cremation at Kanatte cemetery at 4.30 pm.

The Prof.Thurairajah Memorial Cricket Tournament was started as Scheduled on the 31st of May 2008 at 8.05am but due to the bad weather conditions we were unable to start the match on time, so we reduced the match to 12 over’s.

The First match was held between University of Moratuwa and University of Colombo. Atchuthan Anna and Lalith Anna Stood as Umpires. In the toss the Colombo University won the Toss and Elected to Bat first.

The University of Colombo Won by 5 Runs

The Second match was held between University of Peradeniya and University of Colombo. Atchuthan Anna and Lalith Anna Stood as Umpires for this match too. In the toss the Colombo University won the Toss and Elected to Bat first again.

University of Peradeniya – 46/2 in 9.1 Over’s

The University of Peradeniya Won by 8 Wickets

Then the Third match was held between University of Peradeniya and University of Moratuwa after the Lunch Break. Atchuthan Anna and Anushan Anna Stood as Umpires for this match. In the toss the Peradeniya University won the Toss and Elected to Bowl first.
